Don’t second guess yourself

Let’s just start right out of the gate with this question.  Do you think you’re extraordinary?  How did you answer that?  Did you need a moment to answer? How did that question or your answer make you feel?

Here’s the deal. There is not one person in this world who is perfect or who doesn’t get down on themselves or question what they are doing or the direction of their life.  Is it right?  Is it wrong?  Did I wear the right outfit today?  I really should NOT have eaten that. Why am I in this relationship when I’m not even truly happy?  I’m so not worthy of this person’s friendship.  I will never measure up to that successful person.

Just STOP!!!

We let those stories in our head get the best of us.  It’s exhausting and serves no purpose.

I am here to tell you to let it go and don’t second guess yourself.  Life is way too short.

A very dear friend of mine just lost his sibling.  Out of the blue.  No warning.  Totally unexpected.  Now, I don’t want this blog to be negative, because that’s not who I am.  But I do want to make the point that life is way too short to be spending crazy amounts of time second guessing everything you do or have done in the past.

The past is the past, so leave it there.  I saw a quote that said “The past is a place of reference, not a place of residence”.  Not sure the author but it’s so true!  We all have skeletons in our closet but that doesn’t make us less of a person.  That doesn’t mean we don’t deserve to be happy or get the most out of this life.  We only get one shot at this…so….go out there and be extraordinary!!!
